On 19th November 2024 Mr. Altaf Hussain Khoso, CEO of PLUS, conducted a constructive session during the Consultation Workshop on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities organized for Civil Society Organizations at DC office, Sukkur. During the session, he provided an in-depth analysis of the procedural framework under the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860, the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, and the Qanoon-e-Shahadat Order, 1984 to ensure the rights of PWDs. He emphasized the importance of procedural accommodations for individuals with hearing impairments, including the mandatory provision of sign language interpreters, to safeguard the equitable rights and access to justice for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)
