Beach Luxury Hotel, Karachi, July 9, 2024 — The Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh, successfully inaugurated the Human Rights Legal Aid Management System (HRLMS) and celebrated the achievements of the Human Rights Complaint Management System (HRCMS) at a prestigious event held at Beach Luxury Hotel Karachi.
Ms. Tehseen Fatima, Secretary of the Human Rights Department, and Mr. Iqbal Detho chairman SHRC chaired the event, and briefed the referral mechanism and sustainability of the legal aid program,this program also attended by esteemed members from various government departments, private sectors, and NGOs. Mr. Shahid Hussain Abro, Deputy Director, Ms. Bisma Saleem Memon, Psychologist, Mr. Jamil Junejo, TIC, executive Director, and Ms. Farkhunda Memon, Legal Manager of the Human Rights Department, presented the functionalities and success stories of HRLMS and highlighted the effective management of human rights complaints through HRCMS.
Mr. Altaf Hussain Khoso, CEO of PLUS, delivered a comprehensive presentation, In collaboration with the Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh PLUS has handled 563 cases,demonstrating remarkable dedication to assisting marginalized communities.
